Tidbits:  International Soft Drinks

Many of the Thai products are good at making the logo look like the English.  The big letter  on the left that looks like the "E" from "Enjoy" is actually the "O".  In Thai many vowels are a line with a certain curve to it, and it goes before the consonant.  So, they curved it a little more to look like an "E".  Its actually like "OKG" (the little lightning bolt is a tonal marking).  So, it Thai "Coke" is "Kog".

Chinese Coke can's from the National Park in Tai Pei, Taiwan.  With many products like this, it will have the English on one side and the local language on the other side.  No, I can't read this one.

This bottle is from Laos, most of the soft drinks there are in glass bottles.  This is interesting - to me anyway - because most of the international products in Laos are imported from Thailand, so typical the writing will be Thai (which is a similar language).  But this bottle was actually manufactured in Laos, with the Lao language.  I thought that was rare, so I took a picture.  The betters are EPBSE, so it's pronounced kind of like "pbeh'b'see"

These are some tall'n'skinny cans from Java, Indonesia.

1 liter of Thai sprite.  It reads like of like "Sa'bri't'h"
