Beautiful Recording in Exile Studios, Tampa, November 2004
Without question, the odd ball Zadan release. Electronic noise... Songs that would be almost "pop-rock" if it wasn't for the odd dissonance... clean guitar instrumentals... Tracks of meandering distorted guitar only songs with free-form time siganture and "mistakes" included to wake you up when you inevitably drift off... A pair of tracks mocking 80's rock... even though this album took 3 years to compile and it sounds like it was just thrown together... It is in fact a concept album.
Functionally, it's a dissolving album. Rather than a "love" album about a breaking heart, this was a story about removing the footing so as to hope to fall from "love" into the depths of self analysis, and as a bridge to depression... To cure depression. To fall as deep as possible, where there was no hope of recovery and no desire for life, then to stand up, shrug it off, and walk away laughing. The entire album was later sumerized in a new rendition of "Beautiful" on Sketched in the Illusory.
