Zadan (Japanese): Concentrating the mind to see through the illusions of the world and see reality as it truly is.
"These painstakingly crafted fragments of music display an extremely deep and involved songwriting process where the whole is most certainly more than the sum of its parts. Highly recommended for study and exploration." - Noktorn
I was born in 1978, outside of Chicago. In 1982 I started recording music on a cheap set of tape decks with pots and pans, a toy piano, small electric keyboard, noises, and spoken word stories. I formally began guitar in 1991, and from there practiced a variety of instruments to varying levels of fluency. My main love with music is to listen to and absorb diverse and wide spread forms, study classical theory and composition, and to sit in absolute silence.
Give Zadan a listen, sit with it, slow your mind down, and let it say what it has to say.
